RoamGo eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

RoamGo does not provide a true unlimited high‑speed eSIM plan for Portugal. The plans that include “Unlimited” in their name give a fixed amount of high‑speed data per day (for example 3 GB/day) and then throttle the speed to a lower rate (1000 kbps or 384 kbps) once that daily usage is exceeded.

If a traveler needs larger continuous data allowances, RoamGo offers fixed data plans such as the Portugal 50 GB plan with 30‑day validity and the Europe (35 areas) 100 GB plan with 180‑day validity. These plans give a single data cap that must be used within the specified validity period, and they can be more cost‑effective for regular or heavy data usage.

RoamGo does not currently offer a Portugal eSIM plan that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Their Portugal offerings are data‑only eSIMs that provide high‑speed internet access. Travelers who need to call or text can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these apps are accessible and not restricted in Portugal before purchasing.

RoamGo offers 58 single‑country plans and 195 multi‑country plans that cover Portugal. The plans range in price from about $0.48 to $1, 015.20 and provide data amounts between 300 MB and 100 GB, giving users the flexibility to choose either a fixed data cap or a daily data cap. Some of the plans also allow tethering, while others offer reduced speed options such as 512, 384, 1000, 500, or 128 kbit/s.
