TailSim eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

TailSim does not provide truly unlimited high‑speed data in Portugal. Every plan that carries the word “Unlimited” in its name is actually a fixed plan with a 3GB/day allowance; after that the data continues to be usable but the speed drops to 512 kbps. Because of this throttling, the plans are not considered unlimited by the eSIMDB standards.

If a traveler needs a larger data allowance without the speed reduction, TailSim offers fixed‑data plans such as the Portugal – 10 GB – 30 days for $13.99 USD, Portugal – 20 GB – 30 days for $26.99 USD, and Portugal – 50 GB – 30 days for $68.99 USD, all of which include 5G in Portugal and no speed throttling once the data cap is reached. These options may be more cost effective for users who use a lot of data but do not require truly unlimited high‑speed data.

TailSim does not offer eSIM plans for Portugal that include a phone number or SMS capability. The provider only offers data‑only eSIMs for this destination; over the data connection travelers can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage for voice and messaging. However, some destinations may block or restrict certain apps or VoIP services, so users should verify that the apps they need are accessible in Portugal before purchasing a TailSim eSIM.

TailSim offers 14 single‑country plans and 14 multi‑country plans that cover Portugal. Among its plans, 16 are daily‑data‑cap tariffs that provide a set amount of data each day during the validity period, whereas 12 are fixed‑data‑cap plans that give a fixed quantity of data for the entire duration. Overall, TailSim’s plans range in price from about $3.99 to $85.50 and in data limits from 1 GB up to 50 GB.
