Tourist eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

Tourist eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data offering for Portugal. Every plan that lists “Unlimited Data” actually has a daily high‑speed allowance – for example, some plans give 2GB per day, others 3GB per day or 5GB per day – and once that allowance is used the speed is throttled to either 2000kbps or 1000kbps, depending on the plan.

Instead, Tourist eSIM offers fixed data plans that give a large, but finite, amount of high‑speed data for a set number of days. Examples include a 100GB plan valid for 30 days at about $28.15 USD, a 100GB plan for 180 days at around $89.62 USD, and larger data plans that span 180 days for 100GB at higher prices. These fixed‑data plans can be more cost‑effective for travelers who need substantial data usage in Portugal.

Tourist eSIM does not provide Portugal eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can obtain a data‑only eSIM from the provider for use on the Portuguese network.

Users who require voice or text communication can rely on internet‑based VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage via the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in Portugal before purchasing.

Tourist eSIM provides 18 single‑country plans that cover Portugal and 174 multi‑country plans that include Portugal. The plans vary in both price and data allowance: prices range from about $1.86 to $426.78, while data caps span from 1 GB up to 750 GB. Some plans offer a fixed data amount that is available for the entire validity period, whereas others impose a daily data cap that limits usage each day. This gives travelers a broad selection of options depending on how much data they need and how long they plan to stay.
