Maya Mobile does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Brunei. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name are fixed‑data bundles that allow 5GB per day; after the 5GB daily allowance is used, the speed is throttled to 3000kbps.
For example, the 3‑Day Unlimited Global Data plan gives 5GB per day for 3 days, while the 30‑Day Unlimited Global Data plan offers the same 5GB per day over 30 days. Travelers who need more data without throttling would need to purchase additional credit or look at other providers.
Maya Mobile does not provide a Brunei eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Customers can only purchase a data‑only eSIM. Travelers can use WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage and other VoIP apps over the data connection to make calls and send messages, but some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in Brunei before purchasing.
Maya Mobile does not have any single‑country data plans for Brunei; all of the available options are multi‑country offerings. The company provides eight multi‑country plans that use a daily data cap model, meaning each day the user can consume up to a set amount of data before the allowance resets. Prices range from approximately $9.99 to $299.99, and the data cap is consistently 5 GB per plan. Validity periods vary between three and thirty days, giving travelers flexibility depending on their length of stay.
