CocoRoam eSIM Data Plans for Malaysia

CocoRoam does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for Malaysia. Instead, it offers several fixed data plans. Examples include the Malaysia 100GB 30d plan at $96.10 USD, the Asia 100GB 30d plan at $113.90 USD, the Asia 100GB 180d plan at $138.00 USD, the Malaysia 50GB 30d plan at $53.00 USD, and the Malaysia 50GB 90d plan at $61.90 USD. These fixed data plans give a hard data cap that must be used within the specified validity period. Choosing a fixed data plan can be more cost effective unless the traveler is an extremely heavy data consumer.

CocoRoam does not provide a Malaysia eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only plans from this provider. However, they can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging. Some destinations may block or restrict certain apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the services you rely on are accessible in Malaysia before buying a plan.

CocoRoam’s catalogue for Malaysia includes 31 single‑country plans and 47 multi‑country plans. The offerings cover a price spectrum from about $3.00 to $138.00, with data caps ranging from 1 GB to 100 GB and validity periods between 1 and 180 days. Within the available plans, some are structured with a daily data cap—providing a fixed amount of data each day—while others are fixed‑cap plans that give a set total data allowance for the full validity period.
