Yatelo eSIM Data Plans for Malaysia

Yatelo does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Malaysia. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name actually include a 3GB data cap; after that limit the speed is reduced to 1000kbps.

Travelers who need more data can choose from Yatelo’s fixed data plans, such as the 50GB 30‑day plan for $26.35 USD or the 20GB 30‑day plan for $12.71 USD. These plans offer larger data allowances and can be more cost‑effective for most users, unless a traveler requires an extremely high data volume.

Yatelo does not provide any Malaysia eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. All available plans are data‑only, so travelers can connect to the internet but will not receive a local number for calls or text messages. However, users can still make VoIP calls and send messages with apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection, though availability of these services can vary, so it is advisable to check that the preferred apps work in Malaysia before purchasing.

Yatelo provides 13 single‑country plans and 18 multi‑country plans for travelers in Malaysia. The available plans range from about $1.54 to $67.93 USD, with data caps spanning 1 GB to 50 GB and validity periods of 3 to 30 days. Some plans allow tethering, while others enforce a reduced speed of 1000 kbps after the data cap is reached.
