Yatelo does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM plan for Malaysia. All of the plans carry a fixed data cap, even those whose names contain the word “Unlimited.” For example, the ASI Unlimited 3GB and MYS Unlimited 3GB plans give 3GB of high‑speed data, after which the speed drops to 1000kbps. If a user requires more data without the speed reduction, Yatelo offers fixed‑data alternatives such as the MYS 50GB 30 days plan, which delivers 50GB of high‑speed data for 30 days. Choosing one of these fixed‑data plans can be more cost‑effective than a capped plan with reduced speed when a user expects heavy data usage.

Yatelo does not provide an eSIM plan that includes a local phone number or SMS capability for travelers in Malaysia. The provider only offers data‑only eSIM packages for that destination.
Travelers can still use messaging and calling apps that work over data, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage, to communicate while their device is connected.
