Nomad does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Portugal. Every Nomad plan listed for Portugal limits the data to 2 GB per day, even though some plans carry “unlimited” in their name; after the daily quota is reached the plan does not continue to offer unlimited 5G bandwidth.

Nomad offers several fixed‑data alternatives that may be more suitable for longer stays or heavier usage. For example, a 50 GB plan for 30 days is available for Portugal, and a similar 50 GB plan that covers Europe is offered for 30 days as well. A 30 GB plan with a validity of 365 days is also available for Portugal. Choosing one of these fixed data plans can be more cost effective, especially for travelers who anticipate using a large amount of data.

Nomad does not provide a Portugal eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The available plans are data‑only.

Travelers can still use the data connection for voice and messaging through VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage without needing a local phone number or SMS service.
