Nomad eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

Nomad does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM plan for Portugal. All of the plans labeled “unlimited” in the database have a 2GB per day cap for the Local Portugal packages, meaning the high‑speed data is limited before the plan ends.

Instead, Nomad offers fixed data plans that can be more cost‑effective for longer stays. For example, the Local Portugal – 30 days – 50 GB plan gives you 50 GB of high‑speed data for 30 days, and the Regional Europe – 10 days – 75 GB plan delivers 75 GB of data valid for 10 days and covering Portugal plus 34 other countries. These fixed plans provide a clear data allowance and can be chosen if you require a large amount of data without the uncertainty of a capped daily limit.

Nomad does not provide a Portugal eSIM that includes a local phone number or the ability to send and receive SMS. Only data‑only eSIMs are available for travelers going to Portugal. Travelers can still use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages without a traditional phone number or SMS functionality.

Nomad offers 10 single‑country plans and 26 multi‑country plans that cover Portugal.
