merdata eSIM Data Plans for Thailand

No, merdata does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for Thailand. All plans listed for Thailand have a fixed data allowance, such as the eSIM Thailand 50GB plan available for 180 days at $63.45 USD or the eSIM Thailand 20GB plan for 30 days at $21.08 USD. These fixed‑data plans give travellers a set amount of high‑speed data; once that amount is used, the plan expires and no further data is available unless a new plan is purchased. Therefore, if a traveler needs unlimited data, merdata’s Thailand offerings would require purchasing multiple fixed plans or a different provider that supplies unlimited options.

Merdata does not provide a Thailand eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. All of its available Thailand eSIMs are data‑only, so you will not receive a local number for voice or text services from the provider.

Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection, but those services may be restricted in Thailand. It is advisable to confirm that the apps you rely on are accessible in the destination before purchasing an eSIM.

Merdata provides 12 single‑country data plans that cover Thailand, and an additional 79 multi‑country plans that include Thailand among their destinations. The available plans span a price range from approximately $0.95 to $105.81 and a data cap range from 500 MB up to 50 GB, with validity periods between 1 and 365 days. Some plans feature reduced speed options such as 512 kbps, 128 kbps, 1000 kbps, or 384 kbps for users who need a lower bandwidth tier.
