Sim Local eSIM Data Plans for Thailand

Sim Local does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for Thailand. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name, such as Thailand Unlimited Data (10GB/day for 10 days) or Thailand Unlimited Data for 7 days (5GB/day for 7 days), provide a fixed amount of high‑speed data each day; after that limit the speed is reduced. These are fixed‑data plans rather than open‑ended unlimited plans.

If you need a large data allowance, Sim Local offers fixed‑data alternatives. For example, the Orange Holiday World 100 GB plan supplies 100GB of data for 31 days, and the Thailand 20 GB for 30 days plan offers 20GB of speed‑limited data for a month. Choosing a fixed‑data plan can be more cost effective for most travelers unless they are extremely heavy data users.

Sim Local does not offer any Thailand eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. All of its Thailand plans are data‑only, so travelers will not receive an active line for voice calls or text messages.

You can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages. However, some destinations may block or restrict certain VoIP services, so it is advisable to confirm that the apps you rely on will work in Thailand before purchasing a Sim Local eSIM.

Sim Local offers 9 single‑country plans and 15 multi‑country plans for Thailand.
The available plans vary in price from about $4.75 to $93.50 and provide data caps ranging from 1 GB to 100 GB, with validity periods between 3 and 31 days. Some of the plans feature a fixed data allotment, while others provide a daily data cap to better suit short‑term usage.
