The SIM Shop eSIM Data Plans for Thailand

No. The SIM Shop does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for Thailand. Its plans are fixed data bundles that provide up to 100GB of high‑speed data for a set validity period. For instance, the Thailand eSIM – Unlimited 100GB at 10Mbps plan gives travelers 100GB of data at speeds up to 10Mbps; after that amount the speed drops to 384kbps. The same plan is available with validities of 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, or 30 days. These fixed data plans are cost‑effective for travelers whose usage stays within the capped amount and they are the only type of plan The SIM Shop offers for Thailand.

The SIM Shop does not provide a Thailand eSIM that includes a phone number or the ability to send SMS. Travelers who need local calling or text services will need to use data‑only eSIM plans and rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage for voice and messaging. However, some destinations may block or restrict certain VoIP services, so travelers should verify that the apps they depend on work in Thailand before purchasing a plan.

The SIM Shop offers 25 single‑country data plans and 74 multi‑country data plans for Thailand. Prices range from $3.44 to $129.25, while data caps span from 1 GB to 100 GB. Some plans provide a fixed amount of data for the entire validity period, whereas others impose a daily data cap that limits usage each day.
