Simsima eSIM Data Plans for Vietnam

Simsima does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Vietnam. Every plan that is marketed with “Unlimited” in its name actually offers a 3GB/day allotment, and when that daily threshold is reached the speed is reduced to 1000 kbps (1 Mbps). This means that the data is capped and speed throttling applies.

If a traveler wants a larger high‑speed data allocation, Simsima’s fixed data plans offer fixed quantities with no speed reduction. For example, a 50GB plan is available for 30 days or a 100GB plan is available for 180 days, both using the 5G network across Vietnam and surrounding countries. These options provide more data capacity than the 3GB/day bundles and may be more cost‑effective for heavy users.

Simsima does not provide eSIM plans with a phone number or SMS capability for Vietnam; all of its offerings for the country are data‑only. Travelers who need voice or text services can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage over the data connection, but it is advisable to confirm that these services are accessible in Vietnam before purchasing, as some destinations may restrict or block certain apps.

Simsima offers 13 single‑country data plans and 21 multi‑country plans for Vietnam. The available plans span a price range from about $1.50 to $178.48 and a data cap range from 100 MB up to 100 GB. Some plans provide a fixed data amount that is available for the entire validity period, while others offer a daily data cap that limits usage each day. This variety allows travelers to choose a plan that best matches their data needs and budget.
