“When the eSIM was connected with a supported network, it was great.
Unfortunately, the Maya eSIM wasn't smart enough to only choose supported networks. More often than not, it would choose a network that *wasn't* supported, meaning I'd have 5-bars of service but no data.
Maya support was helpful to point out that I could set my iPhone to "manual" and then choose a supported network, but that was a freakin' nightmare. We were choosing new networks multiple times per day.
Bad experience.”
“Excellent!
Everything went well and very easy installation.

Maya Mobile does not offer a true unlimited data eSIM for Austria. The available plans are fixed data bundles that give 5 GB of high‑speed data per day for the length of the plan; after the daily allowance is used, the speed reduces to 3 Mbps. For longer stays, travelers can choose plans such as the 14 Days Unlimited Global Data plan, which provides 5 GB per day for two weeks, or the 30 Days Unlimited Global Data plan, which offers the same daily amount for a month. These fixed‑data plans can be more cost‑effective unless a traveler expects to consume far more data than the daily allocation.
Maya Mobile does not provide Austria eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can purchase only data‑only eSIMs from this provider. If a local phone number is needed, users may rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection; however, they should confirm that these services are accessible in Austria before buying an eSIM.
Maya Mobile offers a total of eight data plans that cover Austria, all of which are multi‑country packages. There are no single‑country plans available for Austria. All eight plans are structured with a daily data cap, meaning the allotted data can be used on a day‑by‑day basis rather than as a fixed total amount; Maya does not provide fixed data cap plans for Austria. The price of the available packages ranges from $9.99 to $299.99, and each plan includes 5 GB of data, with validity periods that vary from 3 to 30 days.
