Roamic eSIM Data Plans for Malaysia

Roamic does not provide a truly unlimited‑data eSIM for Malaysia. Every plan that carries the “Unlimited” title in its name actually contains a 3GB high‑speed data allowance for the validity period; once that amount is used the speed drops to 1000kbps. For travelers who need more data, Roamic offers fixed data plans with larger caps, such as the 50GB plan for 30 days or the 20GB plan for 30 days, which remain at full speed until the data cap is reached. These fixed plans can be a more cost‑effective option if heavy data usage is anticipated.

Roamic does not provide a Malaysia eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only plans from this provider. However, they can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging. Some destinations may block or restrict certain apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the services you rely on are accessible in Malaysia before buying a plan.

Roamic lists 13 single‑country data plans for Malaysia, with no multi‑country plans available. Among those, 7 plans feature a daily data cap while the remaining 6 provide a fixed data amount for the duration of the validity period. The plans vary in price from about $2 to $47 and offer data quantities between 1 GB and 20 GB, with validity periods ranging from 1 to 30 days.
