Simsima eSIM Data Plans for Malaysia

Simsima does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Malaysia. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their names actually give 3 GB of high‑speed data per day; once that daily limit is reached the speed drops to 1 Mbps.

If a traveler needs more data, Simsima offers fixed data plans such as 100 GB for 180 days or 50 GB for 30 days. These plans give a larger total data allowance at a fixed price and can be more cost‑effective for most users, unless the traveler is an extremely heavy data consumer.

Simsima does not offer a Malaysia eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider’s plans for Malaysia are data‑only, so you will not receive inbound or outbound voice or text services.

If you need to make calls or send messages while traveling, you can use popular VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict these services, so it is advisable to check that the apps you rely on are accessible in Malaysia before you purchase a plan.

Simsima lists 15 single‑country plans that are valid only in Malaysia, and 21 multi‑country plans that include coverage in Malaysia. The plans span a price range from about $1.50 to $178.48, provide data caps between 100 MB and 100 GB, and are valid for 5 to 365 days. Within the catalogue there are both fixed data‑cap plans—where a set amount of data is available for the full validity period—and daily data‑cap plans, which allow a specific amount of data each day up to the total cap.
