WANOSHI eSIM Data Plans for Malaysia

WANOSHI does not offer a true unlimited data eSIM for Malaysia. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” actually provide a fixed allowance of 1 GB per day; once that amount is reached the speed is throttled to 512 kbps.

Instead, WANOSHI sells fixed‑data plans with larger data allowances. For example, a 100 GB plan is available for 30 days, and a 50 GB plan can be bought for 30 days or extended to 180 days. These fixed‑data plans allow full‑speed 5G access for the full data amount, which can be more cost‑effective for typical travelers.

WANOSHI does not provide a Malaysia eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only plans for travelers in Malaysia. Users can still communicate via VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but availability of these services can vary, so travelers should confirm that the apps they rely on work in Malaysia before purchasing.

WANOSHI offers 46 single‑country plans and 208 multi‑country plans for use in Malaysia. The plans cover a wide range of options: fixed‑data packages, where a specific amount of data is provided for a set period, and daily‑cap packages, which allow a set amount of data each day. Prices vary from just $1.68 up to $355.58, with data caps spanning from 100 MB to 100 GB and validity periods that can range from a single day to a full year.
