Gigapanda eSIM Data Plans for Vietnam

Gigapanda does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Vietnam. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” give 3GB per day at full speed; once the daily cap is reached the data continues at a reduced speed of 128kbps (for Vietnam‑only plans) or 384kbps (for Asia‑wide plans). After each day the full‑speed allowance is restored.

Travelers who need more high‑speed data can choose Gigapanda’s fixed data plans, such as the 50GB 30‑day plan, the 30GB 30‑day plan, or the 20GB 30‑day plan. These plans offer a larger high‑speed data allowance before the speed is throttled, and they can be more cost‑effective for users who consume a lot of data.

Gigapanda does not offer a Vietnam eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider’s available plans for Vietnam are data‑only, providing internet connectivity without local telephony services.

Travelers can still make calls and send messages over the eSIM’s data connection by using VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. However, some destination‑specific restrictions may block or limit access to these apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the services you need will work in Vietnam before purchasing a plan.

Gigapanda offers 12 single‑country plans and 12 multi‑country plans that can be used in Vietnam. The plans are priced between $6.90 and $59.90 and provide data amounts ranging from 3 GB up to 50 GB over validity periods of 3 to 30 days. There are two main plan structures: fixed data‑cap plans, where a set amount of data is available for the entire validity period, and daily data‑cap plans, where the data allowance is refreshed every 24 hours. Some plans include a reduced speed option of either 384 KB/s or 128 KB/s for certain usage scenarios.
